Colombian regulator raised a millionaire figure in games of chance

(Bogota).- In statements to the media, Dr. Marco Emilio Hincapié, President of Coljuegos, announced that, between January and August of this year, the entity raised five hundred and sixty-four billion pesos (US$ 134.8 million), a figure that represents an increase of 16.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Likewise, he announced a 22% increase in transfers to health compared to January-August 2022.
“I am pleased to inform all the media that transfers to COLJUEGOS comparing the validity of the years 2022 to 2023 increased from 614,285 million pesos (us$ 146,845) to 750,376,000 million pesos (US$ 179,378) between January and August, compared to the period 2022 to 2023, that represents an increase of 22.15% compared to the same period of the previous year,” said Dr. Marco Emilio Hincapié.
“This is very important, because these increases in transfers indicate to us that there are more resources for local health funds for municipalities, more resources for departmental health funds, more for ADRES and for the Ministry of Science and Technology .
